Classes at Wrubel Computing Center in Bloomington, Indiana

If you are coming from the IU-Bloomington main campus.

  1. Take 10th street heading east until you hit the traffic light at 10th and bypass.
  2. You have two options: (1) Keep going east and then turn left into the entrance for Wrubel/Stone Belt Center, and (2) Turn left onto the bypass and immediately get into the right lane.
  3. Take the first right into the Wrubel complex and immediately turn right.

If you are coming from Indianapolis.

  1. Bloomington is about 46 miles south of I-465.
  2. Take the exit for highway 37 south off of the southern tip of I-465.
  3. About 20 miles south of the town of Martinsville, you should start seeing Bloomington signs.
  4. Take the first exit (Walnut Street).
  5. Go south a couple miles (through one traffic light) until you come to a busy intersection with a McDonald on your left.
  6. Turn left onto route 46 east (the same road is called route 45 since the two are merged at this point).
  7. Go through two traffic lights, then past the IU Golf Course on your left, until you can see the third traffic light (at the intersection of 10th and 46).
  8. Just before the traffic light on the left is the Wrubel complex (across from a tall building on your right, also before the intersection).
  9. You can enter the complex using the west entrance to your left (on route 46) before the traffic light or you can turn left at the traffic light and then make the first left to use the south entrance. (If you see a Red Lobster on your right and a Starbucks on your left, you have gone too far).

Parking

There are two lots in the Wrubel complex which are best to park. One is south of Wrubel (with A, C, and E permits) and the other is north of Wrubel (only A and C) between Wrubel and buildings north of it.

Map

The campus map shows where the Wrubel complex is in relation to the rest of campus.

Entry to Wrubel

The main entrance to Wrubel faces south. If you park south of Wrubel, simply walk up to the main entrance and the reception area. Ask the receptionist to page one of the USSG members. If you park in the lot north of Wrubel, you will need to walk around the building (on the west side of the building) to get to the main entrance.
